Yes, you can run XP, VISTA or Windows 7. If you use Vista or Windows 7 I would upgrade to the 2GB memory.

I’m not sure about the Hoda Touch kit. It might work. Search on google to make sure. Best of luck.

    2 questions:
1.Can you run Windows 7 on it?
    2. Can you use Hoda Touch kit 10″ to make it multi touch (with win7)
    Thanks.

I got about 2 1/2 hrs. They say 4 but I don’t think that is realistic.

The standard is 3 cell? How many hours does that give you?

    Thanks for the review!

Thank you. I personally have the ASUS 900HD because it is so portable. The screen is 8.9″ but it is great. The one in the video is great if you are going to do alot of typing. But I needed something small.

What did amaze me about the asus 1005HA is that it feels so lightweight and at the same time the quality of the materials is really nice. All of this without paying $1,800 for a sony.

Why don’t notebook makers put in a built-in handle on these things? Good video. Gracias. You are sharp.

It already has a 1GB of ram and it runs great with Windows XP if you are going to use VISTA or Windows 7, I recommend to upgrade to 2GB memory chip. It only cost $28.00 and you can do it yourself in about 5 minutes.

does this netbook run faster with the 1GB ram?

Thanx for the video review. I am vacillating between buying Samsung N120 and this with 6 cell battery. How is the built quality for this? I saw this one at Bestbuy, the icons on the desktop looked bigger size than other netbooks. Is icon size adjustable?

Thank you, I appreciate it. The netbook is nice, I prefer the 1000HE because you can upgrade the drive, or change it if it gets damaged.

It only has wifi, there is no Bluetooth onboard. You can buy a micro USB Bluetooth adapter for about $30. Best of luck.

Thanks, no it only comes with a drivers disk like I show in the video. Windows xp home is preinstalled.

Cool, does it come with a Windows Vista software CD???

  18. aramistech on Thu, 9th Jul 2009 6:27 am

The 3 cell battery which is the one I have here last between 2 to 3hrs. There is one that sells for more and it comes with a 6 cell battery that will last you about 7hrs.

That is real hours of usage not the exaggerated time it shows on the internet on some websites which claim 10hrs.

How long does the battery last???
